1955 Bjarne Aas Design and Build
In 2015, work on Hankö began with repairs to the hull seams and stern post. A new Ian Howlett-designed rudder was built. Modifications to the deck were made for a new rig geometry and new hardware was installed replacing the old with high- performance fittings.
Upgrades are in preparation for the 2017 World Cup in Vancouver.
The new rudder and high performance modifications were tested during a sea trial in March 2016. As seen in the slide show, Hankö is sporting her new Beilken sails.
The 2017 6mr World Cup in Vancouver promises lots of excitement!
