Green Flash, built in 1990 for A. MacKenzie Contruction, was named for that flash of light rarely glimpsed at sunset.

She has provided a quick and reliable escape from the city to quieter spots for her owners. The hull was designed by Stolkcraft of Australia primarily for commuting.  A combination of cold molding (red cedar) and glued plywood (mahogany) construction ideally suited her hull shape. The convoluted tri hull forward steps to a catamaran shape amidships.

The owner designed her superstructure and accommodations.  These were built as light as possible to enhance performance. Since contruction, Green Flash has returned to Jespersen Boats for re-powering and related modifications.
