Kauri being hard to come by even in New Zealand, the woodwork below the new hatches was fashioned from an old kauri table, some scraps, and local arbutus which matched very closely in colour and grain. The owner of Marinero is currently contemplating some keel modifications for added peace of mind and performance. |
