was designed by her owner, Craig Johnsen whose artistic eye was molded by a friendship with Lyle Hess. |

Built as
a home for Craig |

She
is cold molded of red cedar and Honduras mahogany, sheathed in fiberglass set in epoxy and coated with polyurethane paint. |

The deck is
laid yellow cedar on plywood. Under this is solid foam insulation and a ‘V’ joint overhead. Her interior combines off white enamel and extensive cherry joinery. |

The
cabinsole is solid bare teak. Her fittings were designed by Craig and cast in bronze. |

Always keen
for a race the owners push Magic consistently to the top of local schooner classes. |

She
has cruised to Mexico and Hawaii but has always returned to Sidney to rest. For more information on Magic refer to WB 136:58. |
